TT Narasimhan Swami Dayananda Elementary & Higher Secondary School, Manjakkudi (Aided School)

• What was started in the early 1930s as a thatched hut elementary school in the district of Tiruvarur is today an exemplary institution with classes up to the 12^th standard and over 2300 students, under the management of SDET. In fact, the school enrollment rate increases by 5% every year and now admissions are merit-based as the demand exceeds the school capacity.
• The school functions with a 48 member staff, many of whom are trained teachers and equipped with the latest modern facilities including a computer lab, the best in the district. Recently, the school even added an English language laboratory. With contributions from the MP Area Local Development Fund, 9 more classrooms have been added.
• This year, the school boasts of a 95% pass percentage with many students receiving state ranks. They have also participated and earned prizes at district level debates, sports, dance and music competitions.
• Social awareness is encouraged among the students. Members of the school’s NSS (National Service Scheme) have assisted in the cleaning of public buildings, tanks, temples, de-silting of canals and conducting medical camps.
