TT Narasimhan Swami Dayananda Elementary & Higher Secondary School, Manjakkudi (Aided School)

- What was started in the early 1930s as a thatched hut elementary school in the district of Tiruvarur is today an exemplary institution with classes up to the 12th standard and over 2300 students, under the management of SDET. In fact, the school enrollment rate increases by 5% every year and now admissions are merit-based as the demand exceeds the school capacity.
- The school functions with a 48 member staff, many of whom are trained teachers and equipped with the latest modern facilities including a computer lab, the best in the district. Recently, the school even added an English language laboratory. With contributions from the MP Area Local Development Fund, 9 more classrooms have been added.
- This year, the school boasts of a 95% pass percentage with many students receiving state ranks. They have also participated and earned prizes at district level debates, sports, dance and music competitions.
- Social awareness is encouraged among the students. Members of the school’s NSS (National Service Scheme) have assisted in the cleaning of public buildings, tanks, temples, de-silting of canals and conducting medical camps.
